Self inking stamps are the fastest, cleanest, and most accurate option. The black ink cartridge is already built into the stamp. Dispenses ink to the text plate at each stamping procedure. These are great to use on standard paper and envelopes. They also make that recognizable sound!

ADVANTAGES OF SELF-INKING STAMPS

Today, most of the stamps used in Europe and the world are self-inking stamps. Modern versions of these stamps come equipped with a built-in pad that is automatically replenished with ink at each stamping process.

Self-Inking Rubber Stamps have a plastic or metal body with a replaceable ink pad housed within the frame. When the stamp is idle, the rubber matrix rests against the ink pad. When the stamp is pressed, a spring mechanism rotates the rubber die to face the object being printed.

  • These seals are generally used when speed is required.
  • They do NOT require additional ink pads as the ink is built into the unit itself.
  • They last approximately 10,000 impressions. After this, the pad can be re-inked or replaced with a new pad. Replacement ink cartridges can be purchased.
  • The largest size available for self-inking stamps is 3×1.5 inches.

WHEN SHOULD I USE A SELF-INKING STAMP?

I recommend self-inking stamps to anyone who wants the convenience of self-inking when stamping standard paper and envelopes. So essentially, self-inking stamps are perfect for your everyday mail. Self-inking stamps last for thousands of impressions without re-inking and are very easy to use. Once the ink runs out, you can buy refills from my store.

The self-inking stamp comes with water-based ink. It takes a while to dry and is not recommended for use on metallic or pearlescent papers without heating.
