Sending Announcements
The Announcements feature can be used to send a message to all of the students in your course. If you have multiple sections combined into a single course, note that messages sent using the Announcements feature will be sent to all sections. Section-specific or student-specific messages can be sent using the Inbox feature, which is demonstrated later in this module.
Complete the following steps to create an Announcement:
- Click Announcements in the course navigation menu.
- Click +Announcement.
- Enter a Title in the field provided.
- Type the message you wish to send in the field provided. Note that you can also use the Insert Content menu to include links to course content in the message.
- If you wish to delay the posting, click the Delay posting checkbox and enter the specific date/time you want the message to be sent in the field that displays.
- Click Save. If you did not select the option to delay the posting, the announcement is sent immediately.
