Linking to course content and files
In order to practice inserting a link to internal course content, start by creating a new assignment and naming it "Assignment 2." Then complete the following steps.
- In the content editor, type (or copy/paste) the following sentence: "This assignment is similar to Assignment 1 and should be completed according to the guidelines provided in the course syllabus."
- Using your cursor, highlight the words "Assignment 1."
- Click Assignments in the Insert Content menu to expand the list.
- Click on Assignment 1 (this is the assignment you previously created).
- Note that the highlighted text turns blue and is transformed into a hyperlink.
- Using your cursor, highlight the word "syllabus."
- Click on the Files tab in the Insert Content menu.
- Click course files to expand the list.
- Click on the file you previously uploaded (for this purpose, we will pretend it is your course syllabus document).
- Note that the highlighted text turns blue and is transformed into a hyperlink (not shown).
- Scroll to the bottom and click Save or Save & Publish (not shown).
