Linking to course content and files

In order to practice inserting a link to internal course content, start by creating a new assignment and naming it "Assignment 2."  Then complete the following steps.

  1. In the content editor, type (or copy/paste) the following sentence: "This assignment is similar to Assignment 1 and should be completed according to the guidelines provided in the course syllabus."
  2. Using your cursor, highlight the words "Assignment 1."
  3. Click Assignments in the Insert Content menu to expand the list.
  4. Click on Assignment 1 (this is the assignment you previously created).New assignment showing how to insert a link to an existing assignment using Insert Content menu
  5. Note that the highlighted text turns blue and is transformed into a hyperlink.
  6. Using your cursor, highlight the word "syllabus."
  7. Click on the Files tab in the Insert Content menu.
  8. Click course files to expand the list.
  9. Click on the file you previously uploaded (for this purpose, we will pretend it is your course syllabus document).
  10. Note that the highlighted text turns blue and is transformed into a hyperlink (not shown).
