Travel with Pending OPT
If you choose to assume the risks associated with travel on a pending OPT application, it is required that you carry the following documents with you to ensure the best chance of success for re-entry:
- Passport (valid for at least six months beyond date of re-entry to the U.S.)
- Valid F-1 visa stamp in your passport (does not apply to Canadian citizens)
- Original I-20 (with a travel signature no older than six months from date of re-entry to U.S.)
- I-765 Receipt Notice (Form I-797)
