Session Introduction: Academic Integrity & Plagiarism

Welcome to the U-M Library's Canvas module session on Academic Integrity and Plagiarism. By the end of this session, you will be able to:

Identify how academic integrity and plagiarism are related, but different.
Refer to official U-M policies and expectations surrounding academic integrity and plagiarism.
Recognize that plagiarism is not always intentional, and identify the common types of plagiarism.
Become familiar with citing, quoting, and paraphrasing as strategies to avoid plagiarism.
