Read: Locate or Request Books
An item record shows where the item or book is located. For example, the record for "Bodies of tomorrow: technology, subjectivity, science fiction Links to an external site." shows Hatcher Graduate and Shapiro Undergraduate as locations where this book is held. As the image below shows, at the time of this course publication the copy of the book in the Hatcher Library is checked out but the copy in the Shapiro Library is available on the shelf.
Tip: Library books are grouped together within broad subjects or related disciplines. When you reach the area of the stacks for your specific call number, take a look at the books around that call number. You may find related titles that can help your research.
