Read: View a Catalog Item Record

After you have searched and chosen a book to read, view the book's record by clicking on the title of the item. For example, you may see the record for one of the results found in the search: the book titled, " Bodies of tomorrow : technology, subjectivity, science fiction Links to an external site.."

The book's record will reveal basic information like the title, author, publisher, and publication date. You can also see which libraries have this book, and whether it is on the shelf, checked out, missing, or on order. You will also see the call number, which you will need to find the book on the shelf.


Try It! The Subjects section will show you all the subjects that are associated with this book, which can turn up other related books or items. In the item record linked above, click on the subject header labeled, Science fiction, American -- History and criticism. Then, try refining those search results by Date of Publication: 2010-2019.
