Author Affiliation

Scopus uses the term Affiliation to mean the home institution of a researcher. Your current home institution is the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor.

Home institutions are usually universities, but depending on the discipline can be government research centers like NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, or corporations like Boeing or Lockheed Martin.

The benefit of using Affiliation as a filter in Scopus is that we can see what professors and authors at the University of Michigan are publishing in a particular field or specialized topic. We are going to use a simple search for space instrumentation to demonstrate how to find authors with their home at the University of Michigan.
