Finding a Standard — Google

If you are unsure about which SDO developed a standard you need, you can try a few techniques before locking into your database search. 

Step One — search key terms in Google or another search engine to get clues about which SDO developed your desired standard. For example, try "tire testing standards snow," and be sure to explore past the first few options in the search results! 

Step Two — Check the search results to see if there are any hints as to which issuing agency published related standards. Looking at the search results below, the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) International has published multiple standards on testing tires. This is a clue that you may need to search the ASTM database Links to an external site. to find the standard you need.
