Google Scholar
Google Scholar is a common database students and researchers use to find scholarly articles. Google Scholar is a tool that applies Google's advanced search algorithms to scholarly content and searches a wide variety of subjects and formats including journal articles, books, book chapters, working papers, and reports. While it is free for everyone to use, the article results Google Scholar retrieves are not necessary free to access. You may run into a paywall which will ask you to pay money before reading an article. Additionally, Google Scholar does not provide information such as the abstract, title, author, or journal title in a format that is easy to read. Google Scholar does allow for more filtering of results than Google and focuses on scholarly sources across many disciplines; however, it is still very large and may not let you access every article it finds. |
