Finding Scholarly Articles

As a UROP student, you may be asked to find scholarly or academic articles by your mentor on a specific topic. You will also need to use scholarly articles throughout your career at UM as sources in papers or research. Knowing how to find scholarly articles can be just as important as knowing how to read a scholarly article due to the complexity of finding information in today's world. Most students prefer to use Google to search for information on a topic and Google Scholar when searching for articles. However, library databases are often the most useful for finding scholarly sources.
