Landscape Ecology, Fall A 2017 How does landscape structure affect ecological processes? What creates and maintains landscape variability? This is an inquiry-based, evidence-oriented course that will draw on the primary literature and case studies that address ecological phenomena including population, community, and ecosystem processes in heterogeneous landscapes. We will cover wildland and human-dominated systems. Students will present published case studies, engage in thoughtful discussions, and take one exam.
