Module 2: Resume 1

Resume Best Practices

A resume is a short document that summarizes one's educational and professional background in terms of skills and impact. A resume is different than a CV (Curriculum Vitae). A CV is a comprehensive list of accomplishments and experiences.

A resume is a much shorter document, focused on work experience that details your skills and work-related outcomes and accomplishments. It helps employers understand how your skills and experience can help them solve problems and work toward their mission.

There is no single "right" way to construct a resume, but there are commonly accepted practices used to share one's experiences with prospective employers. Browse the sites below to gain resume insight, review resume samples, and learn how to get feedback on your resume.
