Primary vs. Secondary Research

For this assignment you will be using the research article you found in the Evaluating the Research Article assignment. Remember that full-text access to an article you choose will be checked by the librarians, so make sure this is a full-text article (no abstract-level access only).

Provide complete sentences and answers to each of the following questions:

1. Define primary and secondary research. Provide two examples each within the field of scientific research.
2. Looking at your research article and using the 6 characteristics identified in the Steenbock Library YouTube video describe how you know it is a primary research article. Your response should include all 6 characteristics and correlate to those sections in your research article.
3. What are some strategies you might use to bring in secondary research? How would it function in your overall work?
