In addition, completing a minor is NOT a requirement for graduation from UM.
Though we will do our best to assist students with minor completion, we cannot guarantee any of the following for non-major students:
- frequency of course offerings
- seat availability
- that non-majors can complete minor requirements in a timeline that aligns with student preferences
ARTDES studio courses operate in a very different way than lecture-style classes. Please review this document on Studio Culture Download Studio Culture for additional guidelines and expectations. In addition, in-person attendance is usually a significant part of the course grade, as demonstrations and critiques are essential to the Stamps curriculum. Even as non-Stamps majors, all students enrolled in Stamps courses are expected to uphold attendance guidelines as outlined in instructor syllabi and in the Stamps Undergraduate Handbook.
