Request a Canvas Practice site

Call (734-764-HELP) or email 4HELP@umich.edu and ask for a Canvas Practice course site.

Add People to a Practice site

You can add people once your Canvas Practice site is approved. 

To add people:

1. Navigate to your Practice site
2. Publish your site by clicking the "Publish" button in the top-right corner.
   • Individuals with the student role will not receive or be able to accept the invitation to join the Practice site if your course is unpublished.
   • When you try to publish, you will get a notification telling you that you need to set a course home page first.  Select "Syllabus" for now. 
3. Click "People" in the Canvas course menu on the left
4. Click "+ People"
   1. Add a colleague (with their permission) as a Student by using their UM email uniqname@umich.edu
   2. Click "Next" 
   3. Click "Add Users"
