Loading the Vinyl and Cutting!

Loading the Material and Cutting

After proceeding to the "make it" screen, you will be prompted to select the type of vinyl you are willing to cut. Make sure the settings match the material you wish to cut, otherwise the cut may not proceed correctly. You will also be able to select whether or not you are cutting from a vinyl roll, or with a mat.

IMPORTANT:

- If you are using Non-Cricut vinyl, be sure to use a mat, and to select "Mat", with a 12x12 size in the cut menu!

- If you are using heat transfer vinyl, Mirror it when prompted to in the cut menu

Here comes the fun part! We will now load the vinyl into the machine and begin cutting!

Loading a Cricut Vinyl Roll:
1. Load the vinyl into the Roll Tray. If using Standard vinyl, put the colored side face up. If using heat-transfer vinyl, put the dark color side face up.

2. Thread the vinyl through the tray, and set the roll tray on the Cricut using the alignment tabs (If you have questions, the Design Lab staff is happy to help!)

3. Check to make sure your setup matches the image below:
