Using the Heat Press

Heat Press

(Only if using Iron-on or Heat Transfer Vinyl)

The Heat press is used for adhering Iron-on or Heat Transfer vinyl to a fabric. Heat transfer vinyl needs a temperature between 260 to 315 degrees Fahrenheit, (126 - 157 C) which is very hot. Thus, it is important to keep safety in mind at all times when operating the heat press.

Text Tutorial (for those that prefer a reading experience)

1. Get proper heat settings from heat guide Links to an external site.
   - The Design Lab uses “Smart Iron-On”
   
   
2. Turn on the EasyPress
   
   
3. Set temperature using the thermometer button, then hitting “+” or “-” to adjust
   
   
4. Use the Easy Press to iron out any wrinkles in your item
   
   
5. Place the cut design on the base material with the shiny liner side up. Be sure to add the heat mat under your object!
   
   
6. Hit the green button to activate the timer and hold down.
   
   
7. Let cool before peeling off transfer tape
