At the end of this module is a short quiz. You will need to answer each question correctly in order to use our equipment!
Brief Background of Vinyl Cutting
The Cricut Maker 3 is a vinyl cutting plotter that moves a sharp blade around a roll of vinyl to create long-lasting adhesive stickers.
The machine moves a blade left and right, while moving the vinyl in and out of the machine, in order to create complex cutting shapes.
The adhesive on the back of the vinyl allows for you to create excellent, long-lasting stickers, while heat transfer vinyl can be transferred onto t-shirts, bags, and other mostly-cotton fabrics.
There are 4 major steps to cutting:
1. Load your design into Cricut Design Space
2. Prepare your design to be cut
3. Load the Vinyl into the Machine
4. Cut!
5 (Only if using heat-transfer vinyl). Heat Press onto your fabric!
