Instructions for Use

Step 1

Cut out your circle design.

Obtain your desired design (refer back to previous module on how to get the correct size). To use the different slicing blocks, place the paper through the slot on the shorter end. You can look underneath to see how the circle lines up with the slicer boundary before making your cut (by pressing down on the slicer).

Step 2

To load the press, start by loading the full disc with the dome facing up, then the design facing you, then a piece of mylar film. This will all go into the FRONT mold (as labelled).

Step 3

Once everything is loaded, flip the FRONT mold to the back end and pull the handle towards you (which may require some force). When you put the handle back in place, the button materials will disappear for the time being, as they are kept in the upper portion of the machine.

Step 4

With the BACK mold now facing you, place the back-pin with the pin facing down. Make sure the pin is aligned with the design by having it placed right-side up (just backwards).

Step 5

Once aligned correctly (refer to the images below), flip the BACK mold to the back end and pull the handle towards you (which may require some force). When you put the handle back in place, a finished button will be deposited back in the mold, ready for you to pick up! If stuck in place, just wiggle it loose.
