Summary: AR/VR can be implemented in injury diagnostics by providing medical professionals with real-time information on impact biomechanics.

Impact information could be gathered from the Head Impact Telemetry System (HIT System) that we are currently using. In addition, eye tracking shows promise as a diagnostic modality. Fitting an athlete with a suspected concussion with AR/VR glasses that also tracks eye motion could be implemented both sideline/medical suite, but also remotely (e.g. home).

This same assessment platform could be used throughout the injury management process and help with return to play decision making.
