Are you eligible to apply for CPT?

You are eligible to apply for CPT authorization if you can answer “yes” to all of the following questions:

1. I am currently in lawful F-1 status and I have declared a major field of study,
2. I have an internship/training offer and the activities I will perform during the internship are directly related and integral to an established curriculum in my major field of study,
3. I have other curricular requirements (in addition to this internship/training experience) which must be completed in order to earn my degree,
4. I have been enrolled full-time for at least one full academic year (two full terms) prior to the start date of my CPT, &
5. If my internship will take place during a fall or winter term, I will remain in compliance with on-campus physical presence and full-time enrollment requirements.
