STEP 3: Speaking

• In this speaking portion of the placement test, you will record yourself speaking about four topics.
• The time limit for the entire speaking test is 25 minutes.
• NOTE: The 25-minute limit includes the time for your video to be uploaded on the server. Pace yourself accordingly so that you can finish recording and uploading all of your answers within the time limit.
  • If you want to see how long your computer and internet connection takes to upload a video in Canvas, you can go back to Step 2 and test with the practice quiz. Record and upload a 3-minute video and check how long it takes to completely embed your video in the answer field. 
• The "recording and embedding" instructions below will always be available on top of the page while you are taking the test.
• Make sure to click "Submit Quiz" to complete the speaking test.
