13: Violence and Public Health Policy
Overview
Today we will discuss violence as a public health issue. We will discuss the viewpoint of whether or not violence is a disease and will hear from Dr. Carter who will talk about firearm violence (i.e. violence, suicide, unintentional injuries), history, prevention, and the specific work he does in violence prevention.
